Program Day:
During the day of the program, each school will provide a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation (20 slides maximum) highlighting their institution programs, fees, etc., and will provide a 1-2 minute 360 degree video viewing opportunity of their campuses, through Oculus Go headsets, creating an immersive experience. The recruitment representatives in-country will be invited to attend this program at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Technology and 360 Degree Videos:
Interested educational institutions will be required to provide a 1-2 minute 360 degree video for use during this program on March 15, 2019. Remember, a good quality 360 degree video is key. Pixvana (pixvana.com), a Seattle, WA, based VR company is supporting the editing of virtual reality videos through their VR software platform. They offer free access to educational institutions. You may reach out to Tywen Kelly at Pixvana (tywen@pixvana.com) for more insight on VR technology and to request access to their software platform. Please remember to mention you are engaging with the U.S. Commercial Service on the VR Virtual Education Fairs. Pixvana’s platform allows the upload of video files of certain specifications that can be found Here. The higher the camera pixels, the higher the quality of the video and experience for the viewers. If you have a 360 degree video of your campus already, please send a link to gabriela.zelaya@trade.gov so that we can determine if we can use for this program ** Please note, we are unable to use YouVisit campus tour videos for these programs. The YouVisit videos are proprietary and cannot be used with this platform. **
Marketing Materials and Preparatory Sessions:
In April, you will have the opportunity to ship marketing materials to the event location. We will also request a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 20 slides for your 10 minute presentation. We will schedule a conference call with CS Jakarta to answer any questions regarding the program, the market, and the audience. We will schedule a practice session, in advance, to go over the WebEx technology we will use during the day of the program. We will ensure you are able to access the platform on your computer and change the slides during your presentation.
Cost:
Participation in this program with Indonesia is $1,300 per U.S. educational institution. Participation will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
